Re: Daily Quiz anyone? New month of May/June thread
Covid is a weird one East, for me anyway. We were up so early for several days because of excursions or the Rocky mountaineer, then maybe last Wednesday night just as I was about to get into bed I just started shivering and the teeth were chattering (not a frosty reception from the Mrs I hasten to add!) Woke up next day and just ached all over but my back was bad the week before so just thought I was exhausted. So I went to bed at 3pm and woke up at 7am next morning. At breakfast that morning I couldn't stop sweating but literally an hour later I was absolutely fine and just went about my day as usual. I only did the test yesterday because we had been on planes, trains, ships and automobiles with lots of other people and I was just intrigued. Never expected it to show positive as I had no cough, headache, loss of taste or smell. Bit of a scratchy throat but assumed that was the air con and didn't affect eating or the odd alcoholic beverage, so really surprised as it was the last thing I expected. Need shopping now but trying to the right thing and no bloody delivery slots!!

Re: Daily Quiz anyone? New month of May/June thread
I too tried to post earlier. Gave up in the end so no quiz today :(

I'll try again on Friday as I assume MD is putting a quiz up tomorrow.

Won't be here myself for a couple of weeks starting Monday. Hope I don't get Covid where I am going! Anyway had the booster jab for old gits just the other week, but no guarantees were issued with it

Re: Daily Quiz anyone? New month of May/June thread
Mallard the answer to your question is no, but it would appear that I could :)

It is interesting what people know and what they don't.

I generally struggle with the topics often set by Zico and Mad Dog but occasionally there might be a topic that most score poorly on and I do really well. The reason might be interest-related or time/era-determined.

When I was younger say about 20 years back playing Trivial Pursuit with my daughters and their partners (all smart kids with good degrees from good unis) I would win hands down. Today it wouldn't be the case. Sure I have got older and slower but I know more than back then, however, the nature of the hierarchy of "knowledge" and trivia has changed.

But the one thing I still know for sure is just how little I know
